Shymkentbuild Is One Of The Most Popular And Visited Events Of The Southern Region

The season 2020 will be traditionally started with the South Kazakhstan Building&Interiors Exhibition ShymkentBuild 2020.

The 6th regional construction exhibition will take place on the site of the Shymkent city Exhibition center on March 11-13.

ShymkentBuild Exhibition really deserves the title of the main and only professional exhibition of the South-Kazakhstan region in the field of construction and finishing materials, window technologies, ceramics and stone, HVAC sector. Over the five years of its operation, the exhibition has become a key dialogue platform for more than 200 construction companies and about 4,500 unique specialists from Italy, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Turkey and Uzbekistan.

ShymkentBuild 2020 Exhibition will present the following sections: Construction materials and equipment, Interiors and finishing materials, Heating and water supply, Ventilation and air conditioning, Window technologies, Ceramics and stone, Road construction and special purpose equipment and a brand new section Power Energy. The appearance of the latter is caused by the need to solve issues regarding energy saving and energy efficiency of the being under construction or operating facilities on the peak of the regional construction boom.

In 2019, there was a rapid increase in housing construction across the country. Since 2018, Shymkent is the third megalopolis in the country, its area and population are constantly growing, which is inextricably linked with the growth rate of the construction sector.

According to the data of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development, in 2019, 114 facilities amounting to $40.1 bln. US dollars are under construction in Shymkent at the expense of the state budget. For the period from January to November 2019, the growth in construction amounted to 29.3% compared to the same period in 2018.

At the present some prospective projects on city and region development are being implemented, including construction buildings for regional courts, dormitories, colleges, kindergartens and schools, construction of the new airport terminal, modernization of the railway station, and reconstruction of some city facilities. Besides, in 2020, it is planned to begin the construction of motor bypasses in Shymkent and Saryagash, and the reconstruction of a section of the road from Saryagash to the border with the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The city plans to start creating a large-scale Disneyland and an aqua park located in 17 kilometers from Shymkent.

And the implementation of the ambitious Shymkent City project will allow putting into operation 324 multi-storey residential buildings and about 33 administrative, cultural and social facilities.

Implementation of the task of forming a large industrial, innovation, tourism, trade and logistics center in the South Kazakhstan region requires large investment infusions. So, according to the results of January - July 2019, the volume of investments in fixed assets of the city of Shymkent amounted to 103.5 billion tenge. The volume of investments in the development of the Turkestan region in the first five months of 2019 amounted to more than 60 billion tenge
